Manchester United can pile further pressure on Chelsea and dethrone Arsenal from the top of the Premier League if they are able to brush aside Liverpool at Old Trafford. Liverpool, on the other hand, know that a defeat here would be a potentially fatal blow to their hopes of finishing in fourth place.
Wayne Rooney is in the form of his life at the moment and, being an Evertonian, there isn't anything more he loves than scoring against Liverpool. Ryan Giggs returns to the side after an arm injury. The good news for Liverpool is that Fernando Torres has returned to goal scoring form again.
I don't think Liverpool can match their exploits of last season's corresponding game. I am going for a 2-1 United win, with Rooney the goalscorer.
