Sunderland were robbed of a victory last week after Liverpool scored a rather unsportmanlike equalizer against them. Three points and they would have been sitting pretty in 7th place. That said, Sunderland have been pretty good at home for a long time and will be confident in facing a Manchester United side without Wayne Rooney.
Manchester United had an excellent midweek after going to Spain and beating Valencia. However, the concern for them is that they are yet to register a win on their travels in the Premier League. United striker Danny Welbeck, on loan at Sunderland, is ineligible.
I expect United to win 2-1.
