Game 29 - Liverpool vs Manchester United

Liverpool have come a long way since signing 'King' Kenny Dalglish as their manager in January. They currently like in 7th place and, depending on how the FA Cup goes, can find themselves with a chance of playing Europa League football next season. With four wins in their last 6 games, they lie above Man United in the 'form' table.

United need to bounce back from their defeat at Stamford Bridge last week. Though it was only their second defeat of the season, it was also their second in 3 away games. Another cause for worry for United is that while Rio Ferdinand is still injured, captain Nemanja Vidic is suspended for this game so options at the back are limited.

This is Fergie's 50th league game against Liverpool and comes just over 20 years since the fellow Scots last met each other in the league. That game, played on February 3, 1991 with Ryan Giggs being the sole survivor from the fixture, ended in a 1-1 draw; and I expect this one to end in similar fashion.
