Game 11 Preview - Manchester United vs Blackburn Rovers (Oct 31, 2009)

After losing their last league game at Anfield, Manchester United host Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. United are now in second place in the table, while Blackburn lie just two points above the relegation zone in 16th place. United won their midweek Carling Cup match against Barnsley, when Gabriel Obertan made his competitive debut for United. Rovers also won their respective Carling Cup match 5-2 against Peterborough.

United have Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand out with injuries. Captain Gary Neville is suspended after being sent off in the match against Barnsley. Michael Owen could start following his goal in midweek. Rovers have a few players down with Swine Flu, the latest being Jason Roberts. Pascal Chimbonda could return, following a calf injury.

I think United will bounce back from the defeat at Anfield in style. With Rovers’ mounting injuries, I feel that United will be ruthless in attack and am going for a comprehensive 3-0 win.
